The OSU Center for Sovereign Nations was founded in 2015 with a lead investment by the Chickasaw Nation and later investments by the Choctaw Nation and the Cherokee Nation.  The Center collaborates with many tribal nations and serves all native students and their friends.

By the Numbers

Since 2015, 102 Center students maintained a 3.0 aggregate GPA while pursuing STEM (42%) and Engineering (13%).  Highlights include over 33,000 undergraduate student visits and 47 sovereignty luncheons.  98% of Center students graduate.  Center students represent 22 tribal nations and lead many important organizations, including NASA, AISES, AIIP, and APiO.
 

Meet Our Team

Center student leaders represent 22 tribal nations and serve as ambassadors between their tribal nations and OSU.  Center students earn national and institutional distinction at the highest levels and lead many important organizations, including NASA, AISES, AIIP, and APiO.
